The Overlea Community Association Recognizes Local Businesses for their Holiday Lights Contest!

On Thursday, January 2nd, the Overlea Community Association (OCA) president, Dennis Robinson, along with vice-president Doris Poling and Baltimore County Councilwoman Cathy Bevins awarded prizes and certificates to two local businesses for their participation in the Overlea Holiday Lights Contest.

First place went to Heavenly Automotive at 6909 Belair Road. They received a cash prize from the OCA along with a gift card to Carrabas Italian Grill and a year of free advertising in the OCA Newsletter! Their creative display of hubcap and rim parts to decorate their storefront windows was fabulous. Along the sidewalk out front, they even created a holiday tree and wreath from pine branches.

Second prize went to Rosedale Federal Savings and Loan at 6708 Belair Road. Their hard work was evident as the lobby was turned into a winter wonderland with 2 lighted trees, wreaths, lights and even a holiday floor covering!

The OCA sincerely appreciates the efforts of all the businesses that joined the contest this year and we look forward to an even greater participation next year. Thanks to Kim King and Steve Stout for their outreach to local businesses to make the event such a success. We’d also like to thank these businesses for their participation:
